Ingredients (1 serving):
1 piece of chicken breast
salt & pepper
handful of wheat flour
Step 1: Finely chop the meat with the back of a kitchen knife until the meat is soft and flat.
Step 2. Sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper on both sides.
Step 3. Coat a generous amount of wheat flour on both sides.
Step 4. Coat the chicken with egg on both sides as well.
Step 5. Lastly, coat both sides with bread crumbs.
I had a gluten free bread lying around in my freezer, so I blended 2 small slices to make my own bread crumbs.
Step 6. Pour a generous amount of vegetable oil in a pan and heat in medium heat.
Do not put the chicken katsu inside the pan until the oil is completely heated.
Cut in small pieces and enjoy with rice.
