Bossam (Pork Belly; 보쌈) Recipe

Ingredients: (2 servings)

2lbs of boneless pork shoulder butt or samguypsal (pork belly butt; 삼겹살)
1/2 onion
1 green onion
20 garlics (can be replaced with minced garlic)
20 black pepper seeds (can be replaced with pepper powder)
1 big spoon of doenjang (fermented soybean paste; 된장)
3 spoons of soy sauce

Step 1. Cook pork in boiling water for 3-4 minutes.

Step 2. Drain the water and fill up with clean water again, but this time add the meat, 1/2 onion, 1 green onion, 20 garlics, 20 black pepper seeds, 1 big spoon of doenjang, and 3 spoons of soy sauce.

Cook in medium heat for approximately an hour, or until the meat is completely cooked.

Step 3. Remove the meat from the pot and serve in small slices after cooling off for a moment.
