Kimchi Fried Rice (김치볶음밥) Recipe

I know I’ve previously uploaded a kimchi fried rice recipe,
but I’ve recently found the most popular one among Koreans and wanted to share it! So here it is!

Ingredients (1 serving):

1 serving of cooked rice
2/3 cup of kimchi
olive oil
sesame oil
1/2 tuna can
1 spoon of starch syrup
2/3 spoon of red pepper powder
1 egg
a sprinkle of sesame seeds
1 slice of cheese (optional)
1/2 spoon of mayonnaise (optional)

Step 1. Cut kimchi into small pieces and stir-fry with a little bit of sesame oil in high heat.

Step 2. Once kimchi is cooked, pour everything except the rice and continue to stir-fry it.

Step 3. Add a serving of cooked rice and continue to cook until the rice is thoroughly mixed.

Even though I’ve mentioned that the mayonnaise is optional, I highly recommend you to add it!
It makes the dish much more savory.

Step 4. Cook an egg sunny side up.

Garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and enjoy!
