Ingredients: (makes about 15 cookies)
1 egg white
1/4 of powdered sugar or white sugar
1-2 drops of vanilla extract
Step 1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F and separate the yolk from an egg.
Step 2. Whip the egg white until it formed soft peaks using an electric mixer.
Step 3. Sprinkle a little bit of sugar at a time, while continuing to whip at medium speed.
Step 4. Continue to add the rest of the sugar and 1-2 drops of vanilla extract until the mixture becomes stiff and shiny.
Step 5. Transfer the mixture to a pastry bag (or a plastic ziploc bag of you don’t have one, like me).
Step 6. Pipe the meringue out onto the prepared baking sheet or foil using a large round tip or star tip
(or with a hole made on the tip of a plastic ziploc bag).
Step 7. Place the meringues in the oven and bake for 1 hour.
Allow cookies to cool completely before removing from the pan.
