This menu was first introduced on a popular Korean variety show called Happy Together Late Night Cafeteria (해피투게더 야간매점). In this show, new celebrities show up each week and introduce their “late night snack” that is cheap and easy to make. Then the 2 emcees and the other contestants decide upon a worthy dish to be listed as one of the “Happy Together Menu”.
I am not a frequent TV watcher, but I came across this menu online.
The recipe looked simple and I had all the ingredients, so I thought —why not give it a try?
It was definitely easy to make, and it tasted delicious.
I think this menu is especially good for those who are not very good at eating spicy food.
Ingredients: (1 serving)
1 tablespoon of butter
Step 1. Chop kimchi into small pieces and cook with butter in medium heat.
Step 2. Cook ramen as directed on the cooking instruction,
but only with 1/2 the amount of seasoning and 1/2 of the cooked kimchi.
Step 3. When the ramen looks almost done, place 1/2 of the ramen noodles and 2 spoons of ramen soup onto the pan.
Cook in high heat until ramen noodles are completely cooked.
Step 4. Place two different kinds of kimchi butter ramen in separate bowls.
